Description:
This was my second upload ( first didn't have audio working) so it is a bit choppy I didn't keep my notes.. ugh :/ letter to a homophobe supexcellency spurred my interest in making this video parymich777 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2E9EDJ... You know... this is old stuff. This is like when we thought black people wern't humans. Or when we thought women shouldn't have jobs like men because there arn't enough jobs... |

cjh6793 ::: Favorites Wow, after watching that lady's video, I am shocked. Veiwing her YouTube profile really just confirms that. Thanks you gOat for standing up to her. ;) 07-08-10 01:06:58 _____________________________________________________
BeatBuddy ::: Favorites Calling someone a homophobe is not name calling. It's simply addressing a serious character flaw. 07-08-09 18:33:02 _____________________________________________________
kornfanphx ::: Favorites exactly and im not afraid of homosexuals im not totally against them i mean i may not agree or go with their ways but im not gonna tell them they cant ya know? And im sick of the people who do call me a homophobe just because i dont agree 07-08-01 20:57:58 _____________________________________________________
argos332 ::: Favorites Glad to see that you feel that way. Trust me, there is no secret homosexual agenda to try to convert people into being gay. Since we feel that being gay is something you're born as, the same goes for straight people. There are a lot of things that people do that I don't agree with, it doesn't make me "afraid" of them, and the same applies to you. Don't worry about what some people think. =) 07-08-02 07:36:35 _____________________________________________________
kornfanphx ::: Favorites i dont im just sick of being called a homophobe because the context is misconstrued 07-08-02 09:34:33 _____________________________________________________
BeatBuddy ::: Favorites If you don't agree, then it must be that you think homosexuality does injury, that it's somehow sick, evil, unhealthy. Otherwise, being against homosexuality would simply make no sense. A phobia is an irrational fear, and since there is nothing innately harmful about homosexuality, your position is irrational, then it's safe to call you a homophobe. That's what you are. 07-08-09 18:39:58 _____________________________________________________
galviancrush ::: Favorites I think some food can be very disgusting (deep fried rancid whale blubber) to the point of beeing [sic] traumatised [sic]. Clearly these things share a common attribute. We both experience them. Yes there are differences, but.. well continue with your false dichotomy here. 07-08-01 20:18:44 _____________________________________________________
DeletedDelusion ::: Favorites There are differeences BUT. Why can´t you just admit that you made a bad example in the first place. I would prefer rancid whale bubber to beeing butt-raped without thinking twice. 07-08-02 01:19:52 _____________________________________________________
bozobus48 ::: Favorites You are missing my point here, argos. The term "same sex marriage" strikes those who are married (the group this movement is attempting to join) as oximoronic, there is no such thing to ban! It would surprise me if ANY state had such a law. Perhaps recently enacted as a response to the movement... 07-08-01 15:04:42 _____________________________________________________
bozobus48 ::: Favorites argos, OK, sorry. Perhaps we need to address our remarks to keep things more clear. We prolly agree this 500 character limit is bad enough. 07-08-01 14:44:58 _____________________________________________________
bozobus48 ::: Favorites ??Please state this supposed "logic" explicitly. The only definition you have read me write is a specific contract between a single man and a single woman. While it is true that our demopublican legislators are hypocrites, it has nothing to do with the definition of marriage or your dysfunctional couple. It seems your comprehension of my words is colored by a lot of baggage that has nothing to do with me. 07-08-01 14:24:28 _____________________________________________________
bozobus48 ::: Favorites ty for your anecdote. It does not cause me to want the word "marriage" to be redefined to mean something with which i do not identify. Why should it? You have not given me cause to question your truthfulness, though you have have given me cause to question your perception of truth; you imputed a false quote to me and other ideas my writings and mind do not contain. 07-08-01 14:12:28 _____________________________________________________
bozobus48 ::: Favorites There are good people and bad people in every legal demographic--even among heterosexuals! Nothing prevents a gay couple from spending their lives together. The bozo supports legal contracts between them. If they can find an opposite sex partner willing to do so, they can marry. Being "married" already has a meaning and those who are do not want it co opted to mean something else, something they are not. Self-preservation is not homophobia, nice or not. 07-08-01 14:03:20 _____________________________________________________
argos332 ::: Favorites I suppose I can list my own state as an example though. I live in Wisconsin. Last year, our state congress specifically signed a bill into law denying the same legal benefits of a "marriage" to same sex couples. Civil unions obviously as well are not permitted if both parties happen to be of the same sex. 07-08-01 13:57:47 _____________________________________________________
bozobus48 ::: Favorites Gosh, and Wisconsin is as liberal a state as there is. Perhaps that ought tell you that married people do not want to be redefined in this way. So leave them alone! It is terrible PR for a group that does not need bad PR. Take what legal sanctioning a tyrannical gov will grant and leave the "otherwise unconcerned with gay issues" citizen to his comfortable identifications. This is causing resentment that otherwise would not exist. 07-08-01 15:21:19 _____________________________________________________
argos332 ::: Favorites "This is causing resentment that otherwise would not exist." That's bullshit and you know it. So you're telling me that if gays dropped the marriage thing, and just wanted to be left alone, evangelical Christians, among others, would just back down and never bother us? How can you even believe so blatant a lie? The "gay marriage" issue is hardly decades old, and homosexual descrimination has been going on for gee, all of recorded history? 07-08-01 15:45:47 _____________________________________________________
argos332 ::: Favorites "Take what legal sanctioning a tyrannical gov will grant and leave the "otherwise unconcerned with gay issues" citizen to his comfortable identifications." It's just too bad for you that we're "forcing" you to be uncomfortable with our issues. You are the one that chooses to be actively involved in all of this by even talking about it. You do have the choice to stay out of it you know. The world isn't going to crumble apart if gay people can be "married" under the law. 07-08-01 15:52:00 _____________________________________________________
argos332 ::: Favorites And as far as being made to feel uncomfortable, I've dealt with it my whole life, thanks to people telling me that being born a certain way is bad. You'll get over it. One thing I will agree with you about that I read, the 500 character limit is maddening :P 07-08-01 15:52:30 _____________________________________________________ |
