Description: What happens when you're a deaf photographer with a serious case of insomnia? Do you start losing track of where you've been and what you've been doing? Do things stop making sense? And just who is that mysterious woman who is haunting your dreams? Photosynthetic, which plays on the themes of obsession, doppelgangers and dual realities, is the typical pretentious arts film that all novice filmmakers have gotta make - but we won't hold that against it. A film by Liam Chapman, Ranya Karafilly, Sonya Reynolds and Geneva Guerin, starring Tim Fletcher and Kealia Curtis. Soundtrack by Patrick Watson. Shot on 16mm film with a Bolex and edited by hand (no computer, just splice and tape) on a Steinbeck. Share with friends
