And it is sun that is the driving force for life. Now, yes single celled to Human is more organization, but b/c of it the universe (closed system) experiences increased entropy. To be a spontanious reaction, the reaction must be favored by either entropy or enthalpy, otherwise one must add energy into the system for that reaction to happen. In the case of life that energy is added from the sun as the photosynthetic reaction to produce suger is non-spontanious.
