Description: I'm a cocky SOB and I say my argument is irrefutable. It's also irrefutable by its very nature because it's a categorical imperative and either you accept it or not. My argument exposes the prolifers for the hypocrites they are. http://diliverse.ctyme.com/theelegantargument.htm |

sorsaran ::: Favorites great vid. in the words of Bill HIcks. If you're so concerned about life start blocking churchyards! 07-11-05 00:38:29 __________________________________________________

airihi ::: Favorites You are /wrong/. Using natural birth control /is/ a form of birth control, as is coitis interuptis. To be clear, unprotected sex was intended to mean using birth control. Actively using NFP methods /raises/ the odds of conceiving. Not using NFP = normal odds of conceiving = no birth control. If your comments had been decent, instead of unnecessarily dismissive and sexist, you would have been able to fit them in one post too. 07-11-04 22:47:09 __________________________________________________
Mjhavok ::: Favorites First of all I agree with your position on this issue but to say your argument is irrefutable would mean you have read every argument that has ever been thought of on this issue and dismissing any future arguments you might never even read. Anyway, do you think people should be allowed to sell their spare organs if they want to? 07-11-04 22:44:54 __________________________________________________
GlassCalx ::: Favorites To be fair, judging by your writing style I'd say you're a man, so I wouldn't expect you to know anything about the menstrual cycle. Now you know... You are probably a prematurely ejaculating caveman though... 07-11-04 22:19:17 __________________________________________________
airihi ::: Favorites Society is a whole 'nother ball game! What I support in society (first trimester, the status quo in this country) is different from supporting what is essentially dil's argument - I've seen it called the violinist argument. I see that there is possibly a case for an exception. It's been previously argued as a "contract", but I consider it more as a case of abandonment: i.e. the organ is negligently abandoned. 07-11-04 22:19:10 __________________________________________________
GlassCalx ::: Favorites airihi, I do not agree that unprotected sex is the same as an attempt to conceive. There are many effective natural contraception methods. Firstly, a woman is only fertile for about 6 days in one menstrual cycle (menstruation to post ovulation). Abstaining from sex during this time of the cycle and being normally sexually active otherwise is >99% effective at preventing pregnancies. There is also the "pull out" method, which works unless the man is a prematurely ejaculating caveman. 07-11-04 22:18:38 __________________________________________________
QuinnEGorges ::: Favorites A couple of my very close friends have had abortions, and neither of them has ever really gotten over it. But this video is not about whether or not abortion is easy and fun. It's not. This video is about whether the government has a right to force people to go through with an unwanted pregnancy. You may not be aware f this, but your comments are hostile. It sounds like you might benefit from some counseling as you continue to process through your abortion. 07-11-04 20:57:03 __________________________________________________
QuinnEGorges ::: Favorites I disagree with your point about unprotected sex. If we lived in a society where protecting yourself was free and easy, you might have a point. But we don't. 07-11-04 20:47:48 __________________________________________________ |
