Description:

Here's a tune I'm just learning, which I thought was called Birdcatchers, however I've since discovered it has the much more amusing title of The Beaver!!! YAY. It comes from a manuscript of tunes written down in Lincoln in the 1770's. So..here I am again, looking serious, pulling odd faces and wearing yet another check shirt......I'm not as serious as I look on these honest!!!!

Sadly, I think the beaver in the title is a sort of hat. Great tune played with style and verve, though.

Hi Liz, yeah I'd describe the way I'm playing as pretty much the English dance style of playing. glad you enjoyed it, cheers LIAM!

Are you playing what's known as the "english style" on the anglo concertina? (left- handed chords and right-handed melody?) Thanks!....it's a lovely merry tune and you play it beautiful! Liz

Hiya, yeah my concertina is a Sherwood...made by Ashdown....it plays really nicely...which really surprised me when I picked it up in a shop. I hate the fact that most playable anglo's cost soooooo much. Anyhow's hope to see some of your vids soon, cheers LIAM!

Your video clip is great and I've rated it as awesome. Please check out mine on some 1920's trading cards of musical instruments, including the Concertina.
