Description: An improved speed run of Simian Shimmy. This level, IMO, is the hardest to speed run, because there are Minkys to interfere with rope jumping (took me a lot of restarts), and falling down the wood platforms efficiently inside a tree also took practice. That part from 10:72 to 13:10 (from the in-game timer, not the video) was a LOT harder than it looks, because most of the time I would change direction too late and Dixie would stop tail-whipping. (Try it yourself if you don't believe me.) And of course, jumping up the ropes was also annoying, as most of the time, I would get hit by Minkys. I found that if you wait about a second when you grab the rope, they seem to miss you... anyway, this is the best time I ever got on this level, and this took me numerous, numerous tries to do this right, so enjoy it. |
