Only 2 yrs earlier, Dave Forbes (Bruins) viciously attacked Henry Boucha (Minnesota) with the butt end of his stick leaving partial blindness. That (and this game) were the precursor to the game in '81 where Minn came to Boston to erase the perception of their team.
