Yes, it was the original Fox affiliate (only for two years). KMSP wasn't owned by Fox until, as I said, 2001. There's a difference between being owned by a network and being an affiliate of a network.

Actually, KMSP was Fox's first Twin Cities affiliate, but they sold it to KITN (then WFTC) for some reason. It was then independent until 1995, and sold back to Fox later, as you said.

This was during a time of transition for KMSP. They had been an independent station for seven years, FOX was just launched (they would dump it a year later), and news wasn't the borderline (or crossing the line) tabloid fare we see today.
