4-13-2000 house show in Indianapolis, Indiana A historic event in ECW, and pro wrestling history. The first time, only time, and last time a WWE wrestler has beaten a WCW wrestler in an ECW ring. This was Mike Awesome's last ECW match, as he had signed a contract with WCW. Tazz had been under contract with WWE since January (made his WWE debut in the 2000 Royal Rumble vs Kurt Angle), and was completely unannounced, and a total surprise. He shockingly won the belt from Awesome, who took off to WCW. Mike Awesome shows up in this video coming through the front door of the venue after being driven up to the building, along with a police escort from any possible hostile crowd reaction due to everyone knowing of his WCW deal, and exits the same way, evading the locker room. This is an extremely rare clip, and a glimpse of pro wrestling history. |
