Clips are courtesy of many Phoenix films, in addition to the Cam Archer documentary entitled "American Fame pt.1: Drowing River Phoenix". Images from the latter may be upsetting to some viewers (the opening shot in particular), but I assure you I did not try to use them in bad taste. This video is ultimately about his death, and the love we lost that day.

You may think this is grotesque but let me tell you something: River's death WAS grotesque. Not in the sense that it was bloody, but because it was sad in the tragic way. This is not a mockery.
